Description:
Low carbon coatings under development since the 1990s are growing in importance for roofs, walls, floors and ceilings within sustainable or ‘green’ buildings. Current and upcoming formulations provide architects, engineers and building owners the ability to specify engineered solutions toward sustainability objectives while supporting LEED and BREEAM project requirements. Through an improved understanding of current technologies, including the ability to describe how they are applied, participants will be able to propose and communicate the benefits of low carbon coatings to the building owner.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn to summarize the history of low-carbon coatings.
- Acquire a base understanding of current technologies that address roofing, interior flooring and walls.
- Understand and be able to propose and communicate the benefits of low-carbon coatings to the building owners.
- Learn how to be able to specify and apply low-carbon coatings.
